How does JustMyDoc's certification service work?
The process can be overwhelming.

Booking Your Appointment
Before booking your appointment, ensure you are registered on the Department of Health Patient Portal.
Once you've filled out our straightforward booking form, proceed to our secure payment screen powered by Square.
Enter your payment details, and be sure to complete your order by selecting 'Place Order' at checkout. Upon completion, you'll see a confirmation screen displaying 'Thank you!' along with an order number, which serves as your Square receipt.
Following your booking, expect two confirmation emails from JustMyDoc. If you don't see them in your inbox, remember to check your Spam and Junk folders. These emails include your payment receipt, along with additional pre-appointment details such as your physician's phone number.
During Your Appointment
During your scheduled phone call, our Department of Health (DOH)-approved certifying physician will discuss your current cannabis usage, its effectiveness, and your objectives within the program, whether you're renewing or taking your first steps into the PA MMJ program.
If the physician determines your eligibility for the program or for renewal, they will promptly upload your annual certification during the appointment. This ensures that the Department of Health can initiate the printing and processing of your card without delay.
After Your Appointment
Following your appointment, remember that each year, you're required to pay or waive the Department of Health's annual state fee of $50. This fee is separate from the cost of your physician's consultation.
You can manage your state payment on the Department of Health Patient Portal, accessible under the Make Payment tab. If you're eligible for government benefits (such as SNAP, EBT, Medicare, SSI, PACENet, etc.), you may qualify to waive the fee.
For first-time PA Medical Card applicants, payment or waiver of the state fee must be completed after your appointment.
If you're renewing your existing PA MMJ card, you have the option to pay or waive the state fee prior to your appointment. We recommend doing this to expedite the process of your card being mailed.
Receiving Your Card
After completing your certification appointment and payment or waiver of the state fee, the Department of Health (DOH) will begin processing your medical marijuana card.
Your card will be sent to the address on file within your DOH Patient Portal Profile Settings tab. Please ensure your address is up-to-date prior to scheduling your consultation.
It may take up to 21 days for the DOH to process and mail your card from the date you paid / waived your state fee. Keep an eye on your mailbox during this period - it will arrive in a plain white envelope, from the Department of Health.
Once received, your card is ready for immediate use. Simply present it along with your valid state ID or Driver's License at any Pennsylvania dispensary to access your medication.
